The OC Bee Team is a satellite partner of the California Master Beekeeper Program (CAMBP). Our educational apiary is located at South Coast Research and Extension Center (SCREC) in Irvine and is managed by a team of volunteers who maintain CAMBP certifications ranging from Honey Bee Ambassadors to Master Beekeepers.

In order to become part of the OC Bee Team you need to have an active CAMBP certification at the Honey Bee Ambassador level or higher.

Please note that maintaining any level of certification with CAMBP requires additional time commitments.

The minimum annual volunteer hours for maintaining active membership with CAMBP are:

Ambassador 10 hours
Apprentice 15 hours
Journey 20 hours
Master 30 hours

All levels also require a minimum of 12 hours annually of continuing education (CE).
